Bladud Flies! has been mastering audio since 2004 and making lathe-cut vinyl since 2013. In that time we have worked with some of the most respected artists and labels in the world — Electric Wizard, Ghost, Ulver, Current 93, Chelsea Wolfe, Behemoth, Meechy Darko, Loma Vista Recordings, House Of Mythology, and many more. We are based in the UK and work internationally.
We work on original music, with artists and labels who care about how their records sound and how they are presented. We do not do novelty. We do not do volume for volume’s sake.
In 2024 we became the sole UK distributor of My Shank products — a French company operating at the highest level of the disc mastering and lathe-cutting industry. My Shank’s cutting styli are used by the likes of Bernie Grundman, and their HeLiX23 cutter head is trusted by SST in Berlin. This relationship gives us access that no one else in the UK has.
We now offer pressed vinyl — in runs from 50 units — brokered through My Shank’s own pressing plant: a boutique facility running on renewable energy, cutting lacquers on a VMS80 with a HeLiX23 cutter head, with half-speed mastering available. Premium sound quality, no compromise, and handled from our end by people who have been sending records to press for over a decade.
Alongside this, Black Stone Tower — the fulfilment arm — manages physical order processing; picking & packing, shipping, and product photography for artists and labels running their own online stores (Bandcamp, Shopify, etc). We can also be your e-commerce manager, as we are for Cashen’s Gap and Heaven’s Lathe.
Current clients include Cashen’s Gap (David Tibet / Current 93), Justin K. Broadrick, Dirter Promotions, iSaintJames, vecccctorrrr. and Heaven’s Lathe. The work is careful, considered, and specific to the needs of independent music.
